Activity: seminars, sessions

In the course of the last few years our specialists took part in organizing and arranging of more than 15 International seminars and sessions of training teachers to teach human rights, democracy. These seminars were organized with participation of the Council of Europe, UNESCO, Amnesty International, Canadian Fund of Human Rights and other organizations. About 7,000 teachers have been trained at these seminars and sessions.

In the framework of the Year of Human Rights in the Russian Federation which was declared by the President of Russia, the Moscow School of Human Rights took part in organization of several official actions.

Since October 12, 1998 the Moscow School of Human Rights in the partnership with the Center for Conflict Management (Almaty, Kazakhstan) and Human Rights Center, University of Essex (United Kingdom) carries out the Human Rights Education In The Republic of Kazakhstan and Russian Federation joint project financed by the Tacis-Phare Democracy Program of the European Union.

On August 1, 1999 carrying out the new MSHR's project including creation and maintaining Human Rights, Democracy and Culture of Peace Education in the Russian Federation mailing list was started. This project is realized with the support of the International Research and Exchange Board (IREX)  for funds provided by the Carnegie Corporation of New York.
